Standing
100Activity recorded on ShownUp, not a measure of character or safety. Everyone starts at 100.
What do stars and Standing mean?
No confirmed feedback yet, so there is no star average. Stars describe the experiences people reported, not a verdict about a person.
Standing summarizes activity recorded on ShownUp. Everyone starts at 100. Confirmed feedback can add points: 5 stars adds 25, 4 adds 12, and 3 adds 5. Ratings of 1 or 2 add no points. Standing is capped at 1,000; it is not a percentage or a prediction of reliability.
Confirmation establishes that an interaction happened, not agreement with every word. Disputed feedback stays off the public profile while it is reviewed. Reports and concerns are handled privately; negative Standing movement is disabled pending legal review.
ID verification is separate. It checks identity, not character or safety, and does not raise Standing. Neither a paid plan nor profile completeness buys points. A new profile is not a bad rating.
